Adhering to basic principles in a rare dental condition: a case report of severe dilaceration

Background: Dilaceration is a rare dental condition that can occur during tooth development, resulting in distortion of the normal axial relationship between crown and root. Although it affect any tooth, most commonly occurs permanent incisors, often as result trauma to primary predecessor. The impact even slight displacement incisor be significant, disrupting development follicles new teeth. Despite its rarity, dilaceration pose significant challenges for professionals terms diagnosis treatment. Case Description: A case report 27-year-old female patient presented, who attended with missing maxillary left central hard palpable bulge vestibular area. Radiography revealed an impacted incisor, which was found dilacerated 120⁰ angle. Consequently, surgical extraction planned orthodontic extrusion not viable option such cases. extracted have no signs resorption, healing progressing satisfactorily. Conclusion: reliable method detecting condition. emphasizes importance early adhering basic principles management.
